The ACR ResQFlare is a high intensity LED Electronic Distress Flare. Sold with the included daytime distress flag, the ResQFlare and accompanying flag are certified to meet the applicable U.S. Coast Guard requirements allowing them to be carried in lieu of traditional pyrotechnic flares (U.S. only). As a convenient alternative to pyrotechnic flares, the ResQFlare provides 360° visibility for over 6 miles and its efficient design allows for substantial operational life (burn time), drastically increasing your chances of survival and rescue.
The ResQFlare facilitates rescue by emitting the flash characteristic for the International Morse Code for S-O-S. Operating on just two user-replaceable C-Cell Alkaline batteries, the ResQFlare’s high-efficiency electronics allow it to maintain the USCG required 75 cd peak equivalent fixed intensity for over 20 hours (more than 3 times longer than the USCG requirement for maintaining this level of light intensity). With its user-replaceable battery power source, the ResQFlare provides years of service while also negating common inconveniences of pyrotechnic flares including their expiry dates and stringent mandatory disposal requirements.
Meeting the requirements of 46 CFR 161.013, the ResQFlare is classified as an approved Night Visual Distress Signal. Given that a Distress Flag, meeting the requirements of 46 CFR 160.072, is included in the package with every ResQFlare, users are also provided with an approved Day Visual Distress Signal (the requirement for carriage of approved day and night visual distress signals can be found in 33 CFR part 175).
The supplied Distress Flag provides numerous daylight signaling options. The flag can be flown by attaching to the mast or simply hoisting to the highest possible point. It can also be displayed by hand, tied to, and then waved on items such as a boat hook, paddle, or fishing rod, or it can be laid flat on the deck to attract aircraft. The flag should be used only as a day signal and when displayed correctly, the black square should be over the black circle.
Carriage of the ResQFlare and Distress Flag together allows boaters to forego the requirement for traditional pyrotechnic flares when on vessels up to 65’ in length, boating on the Great Lakes, within 12 miles of U.S. waters, or on any body of water with a passageway to the sea at least two miles wide. Vessels less than 16’ are not required to carry a Day Visual Distress Signal but must still carry a Night Visual Distress Signal, making the ResQFlare a more than viable alternative to pyrotechnic flares for vessels of this size as well.
The addition of the ResQFlare to ACR’s line of boating safety gear provides U.S. recreational boaters with a comprehensive distress signaling solution. When paired with an ACR EPIRB or Personal Locator Beacon, USCG rescue personnel not only know where you are within minutes but also have a visual reference light to home in on from up to 6 miles away.

Shipping within the US
Promotional Shipping (e.g., free shipping) is only applied to orders shipped within the contiguous United States and does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands. All shipments to Alaska or Hawaii and any other territories under the control of the United States may incur additional shipping charges based upon the location, weight and dimensions of the package once secured for shipment. Due to the distance of the above mentioned locations, please be aware that shipments may take a minimum of 5 business days to arrive.
Expedited shipping costs provided by MMarine are only an estimate. You will be notified if the actual shipping cost exceeds the estimated shipping cost. We will never charge an increased shipping fee without your consent!
International Shipping
If your shipping address is located outside of the US, additional tax duties beyond our control may apply to collect your order upon delivery. Returns
A 25% RESTOCKING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL RETURNS. Returns made within 30 days of the purchase date will be refunded to the original form of payment. Any returns initiated beyond 30 days of purchase will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. We reserve the right to refuse returns or assess additional fees at our discretion based upon the condition of the item(s) returned. ALL HIGH TICKET ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE. NO RETURNS, NO EXCHANGES.

Please ensure the item(s) are returned in its original packaging and properly secured for return shipment. Damages
We thoroughly inspect each item(s) prior to shipment to ensure and guarantee that the item(s) is free of any cosmetic damages and/or missing parts. While we take extra measures to ensure safe and secure shipment of your product, issues during shipment - while rare - are possible.
Upon receiving shipments from MMarine Online and our partner shipping carriers, it is critical that you IMMEDIATELY inspect the package for damage PRIOR to signing for it and before accepting delivery from the carrier. If any damage is present, it MUST be noted on the carriers slip and reported to MMarine Online IMMEDIATELY. If damage is discovered after accepting a shipment, it MUST be reported to MMarine Online within 72 hours of the delivery.
In the event that damage is reported beyond 72 hours of delivery, MMarine Online will not accept any responsibility in replacing and/or further servicing your order.
It is imperitive that you document the damage(s), this means photos of the exterior of the box MUST be supplied along with photos of the visible damage(s). It is crucial that ALL packaging- the bubble wrap, the box and pallet be saved, as required by the insurance company to file and successfully submit a claim of damage.
We will replace defective products with an exchange for the same model and style ONLY.
If your parcel is left without a signature and damage is found, please contact us within 48 hours at (305)999-5212 or via email at info@mmarineonline.com. Your package should be unopened, unused and remain in the condition in which it was delivered until you successfully report a claim with MMarine Online.
Return on Electronics - Serial Number Policy
On returns of all electronics, serial numbers must match with serial number of product originally shipped and will undergo inspection; if serial numbers are not matching, a refund will not be issued.
