The new HX890 shares all the same capabilities of the extremely popular HX870, with the addition of some great new features. Some prominent new features include two scrambler systems built in, both a 4 code CVS2500A and a 32 code FVP-42 scrambler system ensure secure communications out on the water. Another new feature includes a built in FM Broacast band receiver, during times when radio communication is not necessary, relax with some music on the FM Radio broadcast bands. Other notable features include: Switchable daytime or nighttime mode, waypoint and route navigation, Group monitor function utilizing DSC Group position call. The new HX890 has also been redesigned with a new ergonomic case design, and has been rigorously tested to conform with the Militay Standard (MIL-STD-810F). The feature packed HX890 comes packaged with all the accessories including the rechargeable Li-Ion battery, Alkaline battery tray, 110V wall charger, 220V adapter, charging cradle, 12V charger, PC programming cable and belt lip with lanyard, and its backed by our industry leading 3 year waterproof warranty.
Easy to Operate Icon/Menu System
Forget about trying to memorize the owners manual. A brand new Easy to Operate Menu system makes this the most intuitive handheld on the market. DSC calling, position sharing, waypoint and route navigation, navigation to DSC distress call can all be performed with just a few simple steps.
GM (Group Monitor) using DSC Group Position Call
This new ADVANCED feature allows you to continuously track and display position information of up to 9 pre-selected vessels. Their position information is displayed on the compass page relative to your location on the display.
Water Activated Emergency Strobe Light
If the radio falls in the water an emergency strobe light is automatically activated, even when the unit is turned off!!! The strobe can be reconfigured to flash on and off, flash SOS, or set to stay on continuously.
Integrated 66 Channnel WAAS GPS receiver
A highly sensitive 66 channel WAAS GPS receiver allows the HX890 to lock on to a position quickly and accurately. With position information displayed clearly on the display the user will be able to share position information using DSC and navigate to waypoints using the waypoint navigation feature of the radio.
Oversized full dot matrix display
The HX890 boasts one of the largest displays in a hand held VHF radio. Measuring 1.7" wide by 1.7" tall, or 2.3" diagonal. With a larger display, greater (dot matrix) resolution, and a super bright backlight there will be no mistaking the information displayed on the face of the radio day or night.

Shipping within the US
Promotional Shipping (e.g., free shipping) is only applied to orders shipped within the contiguous United States and does not apply to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands. All shipments to Alaska or Hawaii and any other territories under the control of the United States may incur additional shipping charges based upon the location, weight and dimensions of the package once secured for shipment. Due to the distance of the above mentioned locations, please be aware that shipments may take a minimum of 5 business days to arrive.
Expedited shipping costs provided by MMarine are only an estimate. You will be notified if the actual shipping cost exceeds the estimated shipping cost. We will never charge an increased shipping fee without your consent!
International Shipping
If your shipping address is located outside of the US, additional tax duties beyond our control may apply to collect your order upon delivery. Please be advised that shipping charges displayed on our website DO NOT INCLUDE customs, duties, or brokerage and import fees. Returns
A 25% RESTOCKING FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO ALL RETURNS. Returns made within 30 days of the purchase date will be refunded to the original form of payment. Any returns initiated beyond 30 days of purchase will not be accepted. NO EXCEPTIONS. We reserve the right to refuse returns or assess additional fees at our discretion based upon the condition of the item(s) returned. ALL HIGH TICKET ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE. NO RETURNS, NO EXCHANGES.
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the item. We will respond with instructions on how to return the item(s). Please ensure the item(s) are returned in its original packaging and properly secured for return shipment. Insurance MUST be applied to your return and tracking information of your return must be supplied to MMarine Online via email at info@mmarineonline.com
Damages
We thoroughly inspect each item(s) prior to shipment to ensure and guarantee that the item(s) is free of any cosmetic damages and/or missing parts. While we take extra measures to ensure safe and secure shipment of your product, issues during shipment - while rare - are possible.
Upon receiving shipments from MMarine Online and our partner shipping carriers, it is critical that you IMMEDIATELY inspect the package for damage PRIOR to signing for it and before accepting delivery from the carrier. If any damage is present, it MUST be noted on the carriers slip and reported to MMarine Online IMMEDIATELY. If damage is discovered after accepting a shipment, it MUST be reported to MMarine Online within 72 hours of the delivery.
In the event that damage is reported beyond 72 hours of delivery, MMarine Online will not accept any responsibility in replacing and/or further servicing your order.
It is imperitive that you document the damage(s), this means photos of the exterior of the box MUST be supplied along with photos of the visible damage(s). It is crucial that ALL packaging- the bubble wrap, the box and pallet be saved, as required by the insurance company to file and successfully submit a claim of damage.
We will replace defective products with an exchange for the same model and style ONLY.
If your parcel is left without a signature and damage is found, please contact us within 48 hours at (305)999-5212 or via email at info@mmarineonline.com. Your package should be unopened, unused and remain in the condition in which it was delivered until you successfully report a claim with MMarine Online.
Return on Electronics - Serial Number Policy
On returns of all electronics, serial numbers must match with serial number of product originally shipped and will undergo inspection; if serial numbers are not matching, a refund will not be issued.
